want to add extra memory

i have in my laptop a 256 mb sodimm, can i add an additional 512 mb, and how the performance is going to change. is the computer going to load and run faster?

Hey there smithxx99.

Adding a extra 512 mb RAM will be great it should make your computer run a bit faster, when using games or applications. The More RAM the better it is.

Adding additional ram will certainly make your laptop faster. However, whether you CAN add more ram to your laptop is another matter. Can you tell us what make/model of laptop you have please?
