Does anyone know how to fix the myspace virus that causes you to not be allowed to view the information on the button you click titled "home". I can click everything but home. When I click it, it'll load forever, then just load a white screen. It happened after I was tricked into going to a profile.

hello and welcome to geekstogo,
myspace is controled by microsoft and if you really believe that there is a profile and does such a thing, that i strongly doubt, inform them to look into it. However like i said its microsoft that runs it (as far as i know) and if there was something of the type going on i'm sure they would be able to remove the profile.
Anyways getting back to your problem, i think this ought to fix it.
If your using internet explorer do the following
Open internet explorer tools->internet options->delete cookies and then delete files if you get the option to remove offline content click yes.

For firefox
Open firefox->tools->options->cookies->clear cookies

If its another browser post back
Please post back information good or bad
thanx

Interesting.

I've come across an issue with my MySpace acct recently as well..
and I am not just some amatuer lil' girl.
(I built my gaming rig from nothing, and know a fair deal.
But I love to learn still :whistling: )

I recognized it as the work of virii right off.

The entire layout of my page is screwy.
I looks like the sections from 'Music:' down the line
have all been p aligned to the right.. and to boot.. all
of the things that are supposed to be on the very top right..
then on down.. such as your welcome and then your friends..
then comments.. are all stacked at the very bottom of the page.
it looks horrid.

The last thing I added was a new little quiz,
and POW entire rearrange-o. I've tried deleting all codes
section by section, to make sure it was nothing I did..
and nothing changes it.. I deleted all recent comments
I am able to see.. but I am wondering- I have seen that
people can post things without leaving a comment..
Perhaps there was a hidden code sent in?
Maybe I need to take off all the You tube videos?
I think that those could be gateways as well.

I am thinking this may be what happened to me because all
of this happened after I realllly flamed someone with a reality check.
I take the extra hate as a compliment :3

I dont really mind redoing my whole account.. but.. this may be a future
problem for others.. so I thought maybe I would put it out there.

for my profile it's - /kieru

Suggestions? Hope that I am worng for once XD

ok lets find out weather its a virus or not, to do so please follow the following instrustions.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

thanx and good luck
