PC Freeze at Log Off/Shut Down

[font=Georgia][size=7]When logging off/shutting down a Windows XP SP2 PC, it freezes on an error for SMax4PNP. It is a nuisance more than a danger. Is there a way to remove SMax4PNP.exe safely? :whistling:
