:whistling: I share computer with son. His side has lost all icons, and has no way to access any programs, even XP key has no effect. His side has Word running still but nothing else. I was able to save his term paper on floppy disk. My side of computer is fine. I ran several programs to see if any malware is evident. No help there.

He says that he was researching paper, went to site about drugs, a pop-up came and then this happened.
Any suggestions??

Good news for us. I had run lots of scans and things from malware section and nothing was found. So, then I rebooted and my son's desktop reappeared.

Any ideas how this could happen? Do I have to worry that something is still on my computer?

I have lots of protection: MS Anti spyware, Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, SpyBot Search and Destroy, plus Trend Micro, any advice?
