[computer dumb]

every time i start up my pc , i get a box/or window that appears for WINDOWS INSTALLER & in the box/window it says PLEASE WAIT WHILE WINDOWS CONFIGURES NORTAON ANTIVIRUS 2005 with a CANCEL button in the box & then i get another box/window that opens on top of it , & it is for NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2005 & it says NORTON ANTIVIRUS DOES NOT SUPORT THE REPAIR FEATURE , PLEASE UNINSTALL & REINSTALL with an OK box inside it . i have to click on the OK or the x on the 2nd window 3 times to get the 2 boxes/windows to go away.

what is the problem , how do i fix it & is it something i should be concerned about.

any help in this matter would be appreaciated.

If you have the product key and the software CD

Run this

Reboot if the uninstall process does not require it

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, then from system tools, run disc defragmenter.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot

Install Norton

Install and then run lusetup.exe (2nd down)
