Justin,

Is it a problem that there are 2 logins on this machine? I have been running everything under my co-workers login to date, but just for kicks I logged into her daughters user name last night and ran the initial steps outlined in the "before posting a hijack this log" thread.

To my dismay, there were items that were not present in the other user login. Theyt were corrected by the various steps however after installation of cleanup etc....

Should I create an admin login? There is one in safe mode. Or do I just need to chenge permissions ??? I am clueless, and I hate to think that all we have done needs to be re-done for another user name.

Also: every time I run a Housecall scan, I get multiple items that can't be cleaned. This is on the main user account we have been working on all along.

Please advise, and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....

Chances are we will have to clean out the other user account as well =)

Have you tried removing Spy Bloc from the computer? If you have, and it will not go, what error message does it give you?

When attempting the uninstall, I get the message: The following file does not exist or is not a valid uninstallation.

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Eevqvbpx] C:\WINDOWS\system32\?hkntfs.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Viewpoint Search - res://C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBar.dll/CXTSEARCH.HTML

Next, please close all programs except for HiJackThis, and select Fix Checked.
Reboot your computer and boot into safe mode.

To boot into safe mode turn your computer on and press f8, continiously, until a menu appears. At this menu please select safemode
