[zackjr]

I have run trojan hunter , ad-aware, panda with nothing found but spybot reports Pipas.A and indicates that is has been removed but it shows up in each scan. Trend housecall keeps finding ADW_SE.1234(73,75,77,.78,81,82) and cannot remove them. After running all the recommended scans and rebooting, this is my HJT log:

Thanks!. After running the fixwareout the other day the trend housecall does not detect anything now and spybot did not find anything. I also forgot to mention that one of the scans (I can't remember which one) had reported Trojan.Pakes ?

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

Reboot your computer.


Now lets check some settings on your system.

• Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections
  
• Then right click on your Default Connection
  • Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
• Left click on Properties
• Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
• Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
• Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

Next Go start run type cmd and hit OK
type
ipconfig /flushdns
then hit enter, type exit hit enter
(that space between g and / is needed)

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
• You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
• When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

I attempted everything you suggested. However when I ran the vundofix it stated that it would close and reopen in less than a minute- It did not reopen.I did not get to the point of the prompt to remove the files I tried several times with the same result and then when I tried to reboot, the windows desktop would not return. It would read "Windows is starting" and freeze. Eventually it seemed to have corrected itself . Thanks

That's an unusual reaction from VundoFix, but it does seem to have worked. The vundo trojan is no longer present in your log. In fact, your log is now clean!

How are things on your end? Any problems?
