I purchased a used laptop from ebay with win xp pro and when it boots it says to do cntrl_alt_del and when I do that it has a dialog box that says basically system can be monitored by washington state auditor ( I guess where it came from ) and when I press ok it goes to the login screen. Of course I do not have any username or password and doing administrator or anything else it will not let me log in to win xp pro. Please how can I bypass and delete this login so I may use laptop? Thanks

Hey there mach5, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

Geeks to Go Forums cannot assist you in bypassing the login screen (This is because we cannot be sure that it is your computer)

Usually when buying a Pc/Laptop you have to format it. The person who sold it to you obviously never wanted you to get into his files. So there are two ways you can fix this problem.

1. You may format
2. Ask the person who sold you the laptop to give you the password.

Its not much information, but its the most we can give. Sorry!

Goodluck with your laptop. Cool :whistling:
