The "Help & Support" function on the Desktop Start Menu won't open. I have tried several suggestions on Windows site but none seem to work. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Just do we do not cover old ground, could you tell us what you tried (pointing to those sites is fine).

Also, when you do choose that, what occurs? Nothing? Something else opens?

I followed the instructions outlined at this site http://support.micro...kb/555472/en-us and this did not fix the problem. When I try to open Help & Support from the Desktop or Control Panel, nothing happens. The is no error message and apparently it does not affect other functions. Help & Support appears to try to open but does not open. Thanks!

Downloaded and ran the above but Help & Support reacts the same when I try to open it. There is no error message, H & S attempts to open, but still will not open.

wait a sec...you said nothing happens, now you are saying that it attempts to open and nothing happens.

That is not the same thing.

What do you mean "it attempts to open"?

Sorry about that! When I click on the H & S option on the desktop, the hour glass appears very briefly, disappears, then nothing else happens (no error message, etc.)
