crystal reports help

I am running a report in Crystal and it works fine when I put in a time period of less than 6 days but as soon as I put in a time period more than six days, it locks up the computer. Any ideas of why it would be doing this?

is it locking the computer, or is it just using a lot of processor time. CP is a db querry tool and if your processing a lot of data it can take time for it to complete its task.
