Hooking Stereo to Computer

Being new to this forum and computers I don't know if this is the right place to post this.
I have an old 8-track and cassette player with a lot of good old music on it that I would
like to put on CD's. What would be required to hook this up?
Thanks for any help and information. (this may be the only working 8-track in captivity :whistling:

Check the output options on the 8 track and soundcard input options on the back of the PC

It should be a case of getting a lead to run between them
