My browser got hijacked a few days ago. When I am surfing around only certain links I hit take me to a google search and I won't be able to access the link. Same thing happens with both firefox and IE. I have used kaspersky which found nothing, spy sweeper which found about 5 targets including a trojan ( I followed through with removing them), ewido which found nothing, adware se removed a few things, and spybot found nothing. After using all these methods my browser is still hijacked, so here is the log-

Hi kindguy and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

I need to get you to move HijackThis to a folder of its own so that nothing gets deleted by mistake

1. Right click in an empty space on your desktop.

2. From the Menu, click New, then Folder and a folder will appear on your desktop.

3. Name the folder HJT

4. Cut/Paste your current version of HijackThis into the new Folder that was just created.

5. Now, run the program and post a fresh HJT log for review.

Regards,

Trevuren

1. Please download FixWareout from one of these sites and Save it to your desktop:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe
http://swandog46.gee.../Fixwareout.exe

2. Run the program
  • .
  • Click Next
  • Then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked
  • Click Finish.
  • The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
  • You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
  • Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
3. Once the desktop has completely loaded post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

Regards,

Trevuren

I want you to download and run a free trial version of an anti-trojan program called: Trojan Hunter . Let it scan your whole system and remove anything it finds.

REBOOT your system.

Post a fresh HJT log for review.

I hope you get this before you use Trojan Hunter.

Some of the files that are infecting your system are required by Malware Analysts as they may represent a newer strain of an old infection. These submissions help our developers come up with new methods of eradication. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
============================================

Please go to http://www.thespykil...x.php?board=1.0

There's no need to register. Just start a new topic, titled "WareOut files for Flrman1".

In the topic, simply refer to this GeekstoGo forum thread,

http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?a...T&f=37&t=106729

and use the Attachment box to upload those files.

In fact there's not even a need to actually browse to the files: just copy the full path to the files, in this case:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmpdb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmhaj.exe
C:\Windows\system32\pizda.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmdht.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmtbj.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmaow.exe
C:\Windows\system32\trycrt.exe

... and paste them in in the attachment box, then press the 'Post' button. The files will be found and uploaded.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Once uploaded, please confirm with me that you have completed these file submissions by posting the fact in this thread. Then please await further instructions from me or another helper before continuing.

Thanks again,

Trevuren

Please try this way:

Download Suspicious File Packer from here.

Unzip it to your desktop. Open it and copy and paste in this list of files below
When it has created the archive on your desktop please upload that to the forum here.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmpdb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmhaj.exe
C:\Windows\system32\pizda.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmdht.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmtbj.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmaow.exe
C:\Windows\system32\trycrt.exe

Here are the directions for uploading the file:

Just click "New Topic", fill in the needed details and post a link to your thread here. Click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the file on your computer. When the file is listed in the window click "Post" to upload the file.

Be sure you post the link to this thread in that topic.

Thanks for helping out.

There are files in your log of which I am unsure. For that reason, I need you to submit them to Jotti's for analysis.

1. Click HERE to get to Jotti's site.

2. At the top of the Jotti window, use the Browse button to locate the following file on your system:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmmoo.exe

3. Once you have located the file, click SUBMIT and the content of the file will be uploaded by the site and analysed.

4. Please provide me with the results of the analysis.

5. Now please repeat the exercise with the following file:

C:\Documents and Settings\david\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\AH6S53AZ\wmp.exe

Here were the results for the dmmoo.exe-

Status:
INFECTED/MALWARE (Note: this file has been scanned before. Therefore, this file's scan results will not be stored in the database)

202258a7844312e693c6af56a7d429bf

NOD32
Found a variant of Win32/Small.FB

NOD32 was only program that found anything, I can't seem to locate the other file when trying to browse for it. I can't access temp internet files when I try to find it manually.

We must disable Spy Sweeper for it may interfere with our fix

To disable SpySweeper:
  • Right click on the SpySweeper icon in your System Tray (near the clock).
  • From the pop up menu, left click on Shields, this will open the program at the same time.
    • Under the Internet Explorer Tab, uncheck all boxes (if already checked).
    • Under the Windows System Tab, uncheck the following shields (if already checked):
    • Memory Shield
    • Spy Installation Shield
  • Under the Startup Programs Tab, uncheck the Startup Shield box (if already checked).
  • Under the Browser Add-ons Tab, uncheck the Browser Helper Object box (if already checked).
Note: Remember to re-enable these shields once we have completed our work.

Please disable Ewido Security Suite (EwidoGuard)

1. Launch Ewido
2. In the main window, click "Realtime protection" (in green indicating "Active") to change to inactive.

A. Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note:In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.
B. Please RUN HijackThis.
  • . Click the SCAN button to produce a log.

  • Place a check mark beside the following item:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {9542567C-3427-4917-E473-5ED5971B0225} - Trayz.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.bdpmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmpdb.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.jahmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmhaj.exe

  • Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window.
C. Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select
    • "Delete on Reboot
