[usp97]

I recently posted about having some lingering adware (specifically Istbar). I followed all of the instructions, and things were going well. Unfortunately, the thread stopped. I still have adware lurking around my computer. Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search and Destroy found nothing, but Norton and Panda Active Scan found things.

Norton:

Panda doesn't allow me to disinfect, but Norton does. However, I have disinfected this file before, and it has reappeared. My last Norton scan was last night, but I assume that if I were to scan again, the file would return.

well from looking at your log it is clean,
i would recommend doing a search for those files you listed and deleting them. that should take care of your problem.

also you might consider resetting your restore points.
To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(Windows XP)
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

I deleted the 2 files found by Panda, and it looks like Norton took care of the 3rd. I scanned again with Panda and found another file:

Adware:Adware/SaveNow Windows Registry

I followed the link from the Panda website, but the locations they talked about were non-existent on my computer (not in the program files or the registry). I am currently scanning with Norton, again. After, I plan to restart in safe mode and perform another set of scans with my antivirus and spyware programs.

Am I on the right track?
