aite, my computer got very slow all of a sudden.
it takes about a0 minutes for it to boot. and all the programs take forever to open.
i have 40 GB and only 9 GB
any help woul;d be aprreacited

thnaks fo replying
but i checked for malwares and all other viruses, didnt get any
posted hijack this log, nothing was wrong
it happened when i accidentyl formated my d:/ drive
i have 2 drives c and d
d was formatted by me and since then computer has been terrible

May be your C drive needs 'defragging'?
(Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter)

Also check disk for errors (right click C drive - properties - Tools - "Check Now" - tick both options - Start.
restart windows to execute the disk check. Errors, if any exist, will be automatically corrected
and Windows will re-load.

Welcome to geeks to go.
Time to use your "runbox" to clean your computer,
(all these steps are done with the run box then)

Run Box
find and press; the Windows flag botton and the R botton together(up pops the runbox)
(all these steps be simply done typing the command in the run box then)

Step1 deleting the prefetch files
type, or paste this to runbox: prefetch
press: enter
(the prefetch folder opens)
press: Ctrl botton with the A botton(select all is the samec)
press: shift + delete botton(deletes with prompt)

Step2 disc clean up
tppeor paste this to runbox: cleanmgr.exe
choose drive(normally C:)
press: enter(this process can take a long time)

Step3 disc defragmenter
typeor paste this to runbox: dfrg.msc
press enter(this process can take a long time)


Step4 checkdisk
type, or paste this to runbox: chkdsk /f /r
press: enter( black window appears)
press: Y botton
press: enter
reboot the computer(this process is normally longer than the others, worse the screen may be lost before ages later one arrives at the welcome screen)


When this is finished, feedback good or bad is welcome as there are still other things to do.

i tried everything you said. but no luck
the windows takes 10 min. to boot up
and other programs take ages to open

Please run hijackthis (see link in my signature), then save a log and AS A TEXT FILE (FILE > SAVE AS) then ATTACH IT (do not post) to your next post.

We do not like to post hijackthis logs in sections other than the malware forum as we do not want to encourage people to post malware issues in this forum.

I am not looking for malware. I am looking for what programs or combinations of programs might cause this behavior. If I notice any malware, I will redirect you to the malware forum.

I notice on the hardware side that you have the bare minium of ram for the comp, perhaps you should try doubling it, that would make a big difference

First, you have part of messenger plus loading, but it does not appear it is still on your system.

Second, you have a file missing -- part of avast.

I would uninstall avast from add/remove control panel (temporarily). and use hijackthis to remove the
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: MsgPlusLoader.dll
setting, by checking it and clicking the FIX button

Then reboot.

no i did both things you said

RAM is not hte issue because about a month agoeverything was fast

ok here you go this is what happened
about 2 weeks ago i used CCCLEANER, or something like taht
and i clicked some option and it sadi "do you want ot delete files permantley" and i said yes
after this everything went wacko.
my d:/ drive was EMPTY
and i think some imortant C;/ files got dleeted.
i could restroe to an older time.
mow any solution
