I'm using Windows XP pro and the problem is that every game that I install - The Sims 2, Playboy the Mansion, The Movies and so on - the installation goes fine but when I try to actually play the game it won't load! I keep getting the message: "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"
I've pretty much searched every forum and I've got nothing, I tried to mount the image of the game through Daemon but it still doesn't work, I've even updated the chipset of the motheboard but nothing works!!

Please help me!!

Hey there clubhead, welcome ot Geeks To Go Forums.

This problem sounds like they are copied games. Geeks to Go cannot help if the games are copied. You say you using daemon tools to mount the images.

This is the problem, all the games you are trying to play need the original disk, insert the original disk in and see if it works. (Images wont work)

I've also seen this problem on systems that have multiple optical drives. If you have more than one, make sure you're putting the disc in the same drive you installed from. If that doesn't fix it, you might have to disable one of your drives and try it in the other one.

I'd have to agree with spike hacker...it does sound like you have a burned game. I don't know if either of those games use multiple disk installation, but if you burn a two disk game onto one dvd disk (my friend did this with my copy of LOTR BFME) it will come up with that message. I'm not accusing you of burning a cd...i mean, I think almost everybody does, but you won't get any help on forums if it is. the forums aren't allowed to help you if it's burned. sorry.
