IE takes forever

when I use IE it seems to be taking forever just to do one task, and when I click something it just says it cannot cnnect to teh server or some bull like that. Its like I have to go back and click retry or load the page agian for anything to work. And java applications move especaly slow. why is this?? :whistling:
