Hi meljar...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Start Here...then post a HiJackThis log in THAT Forum as I described above. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

The scans and tools you ran are good, but malware really digs in. That why the experts are there...to help you get rid of the stuff the scans can't. Post a HiJackThis log in a new topic in the malware forum and one of the folks there will help you remove it. The file that is causing the pop up IS malware...if you are still getting the pop up, then it is still there.

Did you post a HiJackThis log in malware that I can look at for your startup applications? If not, post one for me here.

You've still got malware on the machine. Post a log in malware to the experts to help you with. Some of these are running on startup and we need to get rid of them before we can address what we can safely remove from startup.

That's a really busy place, isn't it? Just be patient...it's Sunday so there are not as many experts working the forum as normally do during the week. Don't bump your topic...they work from back to front so as your topic moves away from the first page, it is actually moving to the front of the line. A member I sent over there just a bit before you is being helped so I would imagine it won't be a whole lot longer. Hang in there... :whistling:
