Hello guys need sum help

I was reading through the tweaks list you guys posted on the forums and I used tweak #10: Change Icon for File Type

so I change the icon of my file folders, after I did the advanced/Chang Icon I could see that it changed the icon in the box window, but after I clicked on ok and closed the folder options I noticed that it didn’t change the icons instead it created a worse problem now ever time I click on a icon it runs the windows search program any ideas to what I have done and sum solutions would be greatly appreciated.

start > run, type
regedit
<enter>

navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell key, then look in the right pane...

The only entry should be DeFAULT, with a type of REG-SZ and a DATA of NONE.....

if there is more than that one, delete it....if the only one there has a different DATA value, double click it and replace what is there with NONE

hey gerryf tnx for the reply

Dose this require a restart because it’s not working? and is it "shell key" or "shell" that has to be edited?
