Hi,
Im trying to install .NET Framework 2 on a pc. However i keep getting this error message

Error creating process. <C:\Docume~\elly~1\locals~1\Temp\IXP000.Tmp\install.exe> Reason. The system cannot find the path specified.
I have emailed a .NET guy from microsoft. He emailed me back the steps to take below.

Has anyone any idea what he is asking me to do? Thanks for the help.

Do you have the %temp% drive marked as either compressed or encrypted on that system where you're seeing this error? If so, can you please try to run the following steps to workaround this:

1. Run dotnetfx.exe /t:c:\some_other_folder /c
2. Run c:\some_other_folder\install.exe

You can use whatever folder name you want in place of "c:\some_other_folder" in the steps above.

uninstall the net framework 1.1 from add/remove control panel.

This occurs if you loaded the netframework beta at any time...2 will not update
