My issues have been resolved! Thank-you. Everything is back to normal!!!
(Although I have not yet deleted Symantec & Norton program files due to the following notice :- )

Cannot delete (file name). It is being used by another person or program.
Close any program that might be using the file & try again.

Prior to this, a different message came up saying:

Cannot delete (file name)
Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected & that the file is not currently in use.

Here's the HJT Log:-
(I've placed a " +++ " sign next to the ones that I think that need to be fix checked!)

IE-SPYAD puts over 4000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

Both are very small free programs that you run once, and then just occasionally to check for updates.

Just wanted to thank-you for helping me sort out Dr Watson!!

:tazz:

By the way,

Why is it that every time I run Adaware, AVG comes up saying that it has detected several infected viruses, when I have preiously run AVG and did not came up with such result?

I transfered all the infected files to the Virus Vault while Adaware was still running. Once it had finished, I went to the Virus vault & deleted all viruses -rebooted in normal mode, -ran Adaware again & the same infected files detected by AVG came up again! How can this be?

;)

What viruses is AVG coming up with, hta would help me give you answer a little better. Also click start>run>acccesories>system tools then use disk cleanup and clean everything and see if that helps

C:\SystemVolumeInformation\_restore{21C8D26D-0FGE-4094-B12B-939FF72D9F38}RP131\
A0034907.exe.
A0034908.exe. (These are all Trojan horse Backdoor.Small.3.BI)
A0034909.exe.

A0034010.exe. - A0034020.exe
(These are all Trojan horse downloader Agent.6.N)

Some of these cannot be transferred to the Virus Vault!!

I've already cleaned up everything - Ran Adaware & they're still coming up!!

why don't you try an online virus and trojan scan. Even though you have antivirus software on your system, it can become corrupted by malware.

Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox):
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

Reboot your PC.

Then let us know what if any files it cleans and or removes

Nothing was found!

Housecall.antivurus only supports IE.
I use Mozilla/Netscape!! Are there any free online scans for this browser?

What you will have to do is use Internet Explorer to run the scans. There aren't any non-activeX online scans that I have found. ActiveX is a Windows programming language. This is the only way to make sure you system is clean.
