a few days ago windows became mysteriously corrupted so i decided to reformat my C: (no big deal) the problem is that now my second hard drive wont show up. I also have valuable information on this hard drive which cannot be lost. I also know that it isnt a hardware problem i just have to somehow get my compuer to read the drive.

can someone help?

is the drive jumpered correctly? is it seated properly? can you hear/feel it spin up at all?
if you put the drive in as a slave in another machine does it get detected?
