Staff, Where would I re-download a copy of Microsoft Windows Calendar...IT is no longer on my computer and I want it back.

What version of Office do you have?

Use the search function from the start menu and search your machine for mscal.ocx. Let me know if you find it and where it is located.

Thanks for getting to my post. I have Office 2000 and I have searched for the specified file

It is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office

I tried to open the file but it says its an activeX thing and there is no program to open it.

It may just be a corrupt file...let's try replacing it with a good one and see if that does the trick.

Download the attached file and extract it to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office

Try to open the calendar...

The computer still wont open it and asks what program it should open it with. It shows up as ActiveX again I am going to attach a screen shot of what comes up when I try to open the file.

Hi sorry it took me a few minutes.

Windows still cannot find a program to open the file with and it shows up as ActiveX again. Is there a download site where I can just re-download the software?

I've still got a few tricks up my sleeve...

Open Control Panel and double click on "Add or Remove Programs". Scroll down to your Microsoft Office application and select it. Click the "Change" button. Click on "Repair Office" and run the repair.

When you try to open the calendar from Outlook, do you get an error messsage or does it just not open?

Let's search for another file. You will need to set the search to look in hidden files and folders. We're looking for outcmd.dat. Let me know if you find this file.

To answer a previous question...I know of no place this software can be downloaded...

Click Start, point to All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools. Is there an "Inbox Repair Tool" listed there?
