my speakers work but cut out every once in awhile. i use an e-machine that i bought in summer of 2004. it is fairly new. is there anything i can do to make this better so the computer doesn't cut out my speakers. it isn't the speakers, i've swaped them and it does the same thing. the cords are connected tightly so it isn't those things.

upgrade drivers or it could be the audio chipset failing on the motherboard...if that is the case, you could drop a new soundcard in for about $20
