Hey all,

I've been getting this error for a while now. When I try to shutdown my pc it displays the "End Task" error regarding IE. It's as though I have IE running in the backgroung (even if so, it shouldn't display that to close the program while doing the shutdown, right? - it doesn't do the same with other progs.).

As you might already know, I don't use IE. The only times I use it is when I check my Hotmail from the MSN (since IE is the default with MSN).

Help is appreciated!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Hi gerryf,

Approximately a week or so ago I was helped through my log by a GTG expert and after that I had my pc clean. I'm quite eqquiped with malware tools and run them on daily basis. You still reccomend I'll do that again? I'm asking because I don't won't to increase staff's work in vain, that's why

Thanks
