Adaware se and AVG instalation problems

HI,
Recenlty insatlled a new HDD. I have tried to instal Adaware SE but when I try to run it it comes up with the following message "Please insert a disk into drive\device\hard disk1\DR2" and then it does nothing. I have to resort CNTRL ALT DEL to shut the program down.
Secondly, I also get this same message with AVG but the pop up window allows me to press continue and the AVG loads.
Don't know it it helps but I also get this message when I boot the PC up.
