Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from my 4 year old 17" CRT to something bigger. I'm almost dead set on buying a LCD because big CRTs are a bit harder to find and they really start taking up tons of room. Anyway I was wondering what fellow gamers would recommend in the monitor department. Are there any review sites that I should check out? Is there a company that tries to make gamer monitors? What are the most important things to look for in a monitor?

A response time of under 8ms and a resolution of 1280x1024 or greater is what you look for.

Samsung, sony and viewsonic are good places to start, Hyundai monitors always get good reviews as well. LCDs are a popular topic for magazines every time i go into the magazine shop i see a few magazines JUST for lcds or ones doing a special so i would grab a couple magazines.
