This morning i listened to some music on my laptop. i went to school. when i came home none of my media players will play anything with sound. all of them gave their various and vague excuses but one of them said that DirectSound wasn't functioning properly. so naturally i went to microsoft.com and d/l the newest version of DirectX. but still no sound from my computer. music is my life and im going crazy so please help me quickly!
