Ok, a couple days ago i downloaded a Kasperky free trial, and it asked me to reboot my computer. So i did, and when i went to log back in, it hung at the login screen. I couldnt go into safe mode or anything. So my olny option was to reformat. Well im back, i had all i needed to backup on my xbox (music, pics), thanks to me haveing my trusty mod chip!

I was just wondering if anyone had any clue of why that happened? And is there anyway to avoid it?

since you formatted we wouldn't really be able to dig into it and see if there was an error or anything...i've never seen that happen with kapersky...but it could have been a bad install or something

When it happened, it had Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2006 in the top right cornor of my login screen. But idk, im fine now.
