I was having a similar problem and came across your post while searching for an answer. Thought I would come back with something which finally worked for me.
- DO NOT login to AOL, although have the login page open and ready
- Open and start 'Broadband Check-Up', allow it to run till it connects to the first page
- Click on the ‘Run a Health Check’
- Login to AOL
- The ‘Check-up’ should continue to run
At this point the check-up told me to check my connections - Click on Continue
- You should now receive a result – No issues found/ or not......
