Hi all,

I have a 20g and a 80g harddrive. I used Norton Ghost 9 to copy the 20g drive over to the 80g drive. When I boot up with the 80g it says no operating system found. What do i do now? I dont want to install windows xp in case i overwrite all the data. Hope you lot can help.

Cheers

your 20gb should be fine...for the moment, remove it from the system (just unplug it)

Use your windows xp cd to get into the recovery console (press r) and at the prompt type

fixmbr \Device\HardDisk0
<enter>

Reboot...if it still does not work, go back into the recovery console and type

fixboot C:
<enter>
