On startup my computer states that it cannot find w0057a68.dll and w10e5049.dll. Durring startup my computer also wants to send an error report for apoint.exe. I think the message says that the program won't run, but I don't think that is the case. My touchpad and pen both seem to be working fine. I have a Toshiba Portege 3500 Tablet PC running widows xp tablet edition. Any ideas as to how to fix these errors?

thanks

try reinstalling or updating the apoint software....as for your other two .dll's ...i get absolutely no info from the almigthy google on them....they seem to be random file names...which are usually malware....it's possible that you cleaned some malware from your system and these two files are still being looked for by a remnant there of....

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
