Hi t26...
Word Perfect is a Corel application not a Microsoft (Windows) application. Click "Start" and point to "All Programs". Find the application you want the icon on the desktop for, right click on it, point to "Send To", and select "Desktop (Create shortcut)". This will place a shortcut icon to that program on the desktop for you. This will work for any program in the Start Menu.
