greetings!

I am working on upgrading my current system and own a P4 3.5 processor. I was looking to perhaps sell this and buy an AMD dual core 3200+

Does anyone have any experience with how these two chips compare?

I will be using my system for multitasking, as well as gaming (madden, Battle for Middle Earth, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3).

Any comments would help greatly.
Thanks!!

Do you mean a X2 3800+, it would really come down to how much money you have, the X2 would obviously be a big advatage when doing any kind of multitasking, and the fact that its AMD mean it has the gaming advantage. But the p43.5 is still a pretty fast chip.

The 3800+ would be a big upgrade on the 2.5 then.
