Hi,

I have about 20 Pc's logging into Windows 2003 AD. When the regular users want to remove there USB Drives they " Right click on safely remove hardware" But they get error saying that restricons wont allow it.

It seems only administrators can use the "safely remove hardware feature"???

Any help on solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your Time

Look at your domain security policies.

Any restriction to adding/removing hardware could be affecting the ability of a normal user to "stop" removable devices. Part of me says that there may be a policy directly relating to removable devices.

Not sure where to look, exactly, but it should be in there. Just look carefully at domain policies.
