The link select mouse pointer is coming up in windows where it should be a normal select mouse pointer. It says "click to activate this control". Once I do that, I can use the normal select pointer, just tired of clicking twice all of the time. Any suggestions?

You may have turned active scripting off, in internet explorer press tools -> internet options -> security -> custom level and scroll down to the section called "scripting". And turn ON active scripting.
