I got my key... it didn't work. The key I have is for the original installation, not for the repair. Do I need the repair key?

Neither the key of the original XP install, OR the key of the repair CD, OR another friend's random key worked.

I'm out of luck. Why do none of these keys work?

Hallelujah!

I found the right Product key! It's finally working!

Turned out my friend just misread G as 6... bad handwriting. :whistling:

Yup. Seems to run a bit more smoothly, for some reason, my sound quality has improved, and I haven't seen any crashes yet. Looks good. :whistling:
