After exiting OUTLOOK 2003, and restarting it later on, OUTLOOK does not come up. I noticed that OUTLOOK does not shut down properly since Task Manager still shows OUTLOOK under Processes. Whenever I restart OUTLOOK again,, another OUTLOOK process gets created. I would then have to "kill" both processes before I can successfully restart OUTLOOK 2003 again.

On my computer, I can see that OUTLOOK is removed from the process queue (in Task Manager) whenever I exit the program.

The workaround for now is not to exit OUTLOOK and keep it open all the time. Not very convenient since I have two OUTLOOK profiles to check (work and home).

ANy help is appreciated.

do you have any addons in your outlook, for example do you have a special tool bar in it for your antivirus?

Is this a new problem or has it been this way since installed? Have you checked for the latest updates?

Yes, I do have add-ins. I am using MS Contact Manager and Plaxo. I also noticed that there are icons added by Chapura (Palm), Systran ( a translator), Avast (Antivirus) and Adobe because of Acrobat. Now the question is how do you know which one is affecting Outlook?

I did not noticed which one because I did a Clean Upgrade of MS Office and I installed all of it gain altogether. Except for Contact Manager, all the other add-ins were there on my 2000 version, and had no problems.

Any idea of how to turn on and off selectively add-ins without reinstalling?

Ah! by the way, I updated all the software.

Thanks for feeding the thinking machine...

Thanks, for the input. I´ve checked all the add-ins. So far the one add-inn that seem to be causing the problem is the very own Business Contact Manager. I checked with Microsoft and so far they do not have a fix for it.

Wow!

I have to confess that I was skeptic about this new add-in. But... it works like a charm! I have to admit that there is always smart enough to figure out what Microsoft can´t.

Thanks.

Worthwhile reccomendation
