But you can't just rip out the intel chip and put in the amd one... the motherboard wouldn't be compatible....

Oh I know that, but really, Unless my 2.8GHz Intel Pentium D is slow enough to annoy me, I won't replace it.

Well if you just spent a grand generally you dont want to spend anymore, you just got some bad luck, now isnt a good time to buy intel anyway they have a whole new range of chips now about to come out that are way ahead of the pentiums(they have finally done away with the pentium brand as well).

And does anybody know to connect 2 computers together to combine their processing or graphical powers. Or both. (But I mostly want it for processor power). I have a 2.8GHz Single Core Intel And a 2.8GHz Dual Core intel. Suggestions Greatly appreciated. (I have started a new thread, but have not gone into this much detail in that for some reason). Thanx.

Search young one many many guides out there, you are aware the processing power can only really be used in batch processing jobs, you dont actually get a single usable system for gaming or anything like that. And it would be linux no windows apps and youll need to learn how to use it.
