Did you just get/purchase the video card and installed it or have you had it for awhile?

If you have had it for awhile, what was the last thing you did before you started getting this error?

I notice you are getting errors when running the tests, but do games play fine with it?

If you just got/purchased it, what driver did you use? Did you use the one on the CD that came with the card or did you download the newest drivers from the ATI website?

I have had it for a while, a couple of months.

I have downlaoded the latest drivers fro mthe ATI site.

Most games work fine, Starwars Battefront 2, Medal of Honor, Swat 4.

But the kids are trying to plat The Sims 2 and Battlefield 2 and neither of them work. They install alright, but when you go to play you hear the noise but no picture.

I have also downlaoded the updated patches for the game.

When you type dxdiag in the RUN windows (which I assume you know how to use since you ran directx tests already inside of it) what version of directx does it show?
