Hi
I have a Sony Vaio computer loaded with XP Home with service pack 2. 3.00 gig PENTIUM 3 , 1016 Megabytes of installed memory.
My problem is that I keep getting an error message: " The UPS service could not access the specified Comm Port"
The ONLY Comm port that there is to choose is COMM 3. I cannot choose anything else, so the error keeps appearing. I am sure a UPS is somewhere on this computer as the Company name is there---American Power Conversion. What ever I choose , where it be 'Backups" or whatever elSe I have to choose from under their banner and press apply, the answer comes back about the Comm port not being able to be accessed.
I wrote to Sony and they told me how to find the port under Power Options. I knew how to do this hence my email to them. They were of absolutely NO use to me in their reply.
If anyone could give me advice , I would be garateful
Thanks
