All,

I am new to this site and a PC Novice. I am trying to fix my friend's PC and would appreciate anyone's hlep. Whenever I try to access the internet I only get the errorplace.com.. page. I checked the network status and there does not seem to be information received or transmisted out. However when I boot up under safe mode and able to access the internet. This is rather frustrating situation all together. I ran adware, spy bot, beta microsoft , CW Shredder, currently using PC Illian 2006 and used HI Jack. I came up with the following log. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Click here to download ewido anti-malware - it is a trial version of the program.
  • Install ewido.
  • When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  • Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
  • The program will now go to the main screen.
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. Then:
  • Click on scanner
  • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin (do not open any folders or open the windows control panel while the scan is in progress).
  • While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK
  • When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK.
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report.
  • Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close ewido.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log here together with the ewido log so that any remnants can be removed manually.

Hi Daemon,

I downloaded Ewido and ran it along with doing another Hi Jack Log. I've noticed that the "errorplace.com" when I tried to access the internet. However I cannot seem to get any access to any web sites. I checked the network connections status and it does not seem to show too much packets transmitting or receiving. However when I boot in safe mode I can reach web sites. Also I removed the following lines:
