hi ganster welcome to GTG, per your request.. if its malware or you want to complete clean out your PC of those nasties.. start here but for regular PC maintenance..i would personally do diskclean (or cleanup program like ccleaner), then run windows defrag utility, reboot to clear it all out then perform spyware/virus scans if you wish to
