xp and pegasus opera systems are running very very slowly, opera in particular. Wen i open the task manager, it says cpu usage 100%, and there are lots and lots of processes running. how can i determine which processes are required, and which are not?

ps this is a work computer, which i use to access public message boards and personal email.
