Hi guys and gals.

Recently a friend of mine sent me a couple of emails with attachments with .msg file extensions. They are just jokes or videos or something. I could not get them to open. That was his problem also, someone else sent them to him.
Did a little googling and have found that .msg files have something to do with Outlook 2003. Outlook help wasn't much help either.

I do have Office 2003 student/teacher edition on my home computer but it won't open them. Does one need the full edition for this?

And just what is a .msg file?

Thanks ahead for any help.

http://www.filext.co...?extdetail=.msg <-- that's a list of what the file is...i'd say yours is the exchange message file...it claims that outlook should open it (regular outlook NOT outlook express)

Thanks for replying dsenette. Cool avatar by the way.

I've been playing around with it, just the "I'm going to find out what it is [bleep]" thing. Still can't get it to open. I've changes settings, etc. Still won't.

You yourself haven't had any experience with it?

Thanks
