my computer shuts down about 2 seconds after i turn it on...could it be the PSU?or what?

its bout 2 years old...and its a HP...I USE IT MAINLY FOR GAMING....

It could be PSU, but sounds like the CPU might be getting too hot, too. Have you checked to see if all the fans are working properly? Especailly the CPU fan?

IM NOT SURE HOW TO SEE IF ITS GETTING TO HOT.I ONLY HAVE 1 FAN WITH A DUCT RUNNING TO THE HEAT SINK.

Please turn off the Caps Lock...makes it hard to read... :whistling:

The heat sink thing is the CPU cooler...is it dirty...packed with dust? Is the fan attached to it spinning real fast?

Does the machine "click" when it shuts down?

oh sorry...the fan is movin pretty fast...the heat sink is clean and it makes a noise when it shuts off...

Better get yourself a new power supply. If you game a lot, go at least 400 watts.

That should fix you up... :whistling:
