Well, I'll try to run disk defragmenter now. Please let me know if the order of running anything has changed. Not sure if the File program did anything.

If you had the blue progress bar and it took more than a few minutes then the system files are OK

Run the defragmenter to see if there is an improvement, if not you need to get tune up to run

Thanks so much for everything so far. How can I get Tune Up to run? I have it on my desktop. Should I put it somewhere else?

Download the trial again, click run, not save, this should start the installation automatically, if you get any error, can you make a note of it / them and post the details please

It says "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package."

It almost worked. It started to. Then it said the extraction is denied.
