Hi,

I am running Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro (Full) and since I installed the programme last week I keep getting an alert "Network Attack, DoS.Generic.Land from address 192.168.0.2 (client) has been successfully repelled". Before switching to Kaspersky I had been using NIS2005 and the system was clean.

Below is a copy of my Hijack log..

I have run a complete virus check and the system is reported as clean by both Kaspersky and Norton Online Checker. I am using all the latest defintions.

Is this somthing I should worry about?

Thanks in advance

The alerts you are getting are usually false alarms especially when they come from within your own home network.

The fact that they are coming from 192.168.0.2 does indicate that.

Usually these alarms are triggered by a router, another computer on your network or the use of P2P programs (especially bittorrent)

Hope this reassures you. I did have a look at your HijackThis log and couldn't find anything to worry about.

Regards,

Excellent news, thanks for a quick response. I will see if I can't just disable the alert for good.
