As long as it is set to boot from the CD ROM first in BIOS and the change is saved, it should boot from the XP CD, press enter when it prompts

I can't load from my 2000 cd either (I ugraded it from 2000 , not NT :whistling: )
anyway , what can I do , when I try to boot from 2000 it says :
file\i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded ,The error code 32768
Setup cannot continue . Press any key to exit.

Managed to boot from another xp cd , did what you said , still wont work. Sorry to repeat , but you said it applied to xp pro , I upgraded from nt or 2000 , is that a problem?

What does it do when you boot with the 2000 CD in?

Nothing , it just says that my windows setting aren't correct and it restarts.
It worked with the xp cd , but kernel32 wasn't the only problem I guess :whistling:

Hi uu60...

Can you boot using the XP cd and enter Recovery Console by pressing R at the first blue screen?

Actualy , I just used repair and it works now , sorry for not posting a resolved message , Thanks again guys.
