okay, I appreciate the help.

What about things like Sens, and ccCommon, SuperBuddyData, VirtualSurroundPage Class, & SdcUser.Dna? Things of that nature?

How do I uninstall ccCommon?
How do I uninstall Norton's?
It shows in my add/remove programs, but there is no sign of it installed that I can tell.

Hi TxRose

Close all programs down, leaving only HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

O8 - Extra context menu item: &Copy Location - C:\WINDOWS\WEB\graburl.htm
O23 - Service: AVG7 Alert Manager Server - Unknown - C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: AVG7 Update Service - Unknown - C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exe (file missing)

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: see here if you don't know how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\WEB\graburl.htm

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

I can see from your log you are running three antvirus program this is not a good idea

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashServ.exe

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe<--this is norton
ccCommon is part off norton

C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exe <--This one has not been uninstalled properly

I would try to uninstall all three and then pick which antivirus program you want to use.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we'll take another look.

Hi Kc,
(my initials also..LOL)

I did as you said, and deleted the 08 and the two 023's.

The graburl.htm didn't show up for me in safemode.

Yes, there are alot of left over antivirus files.
They are cling ons, and will not go away.

This is the deal.... I will try to make it short.

I was using the free AVG when I got hit with parser.class. ;)
Or so, that's what it said. (the box that pops up with the pic of the virus gremlins)
I couldn't find any info about it.
.....That was about a month ago.

Things have gotten considerably worse since then.

My computer started acting "weird", so I downloaded the free ZoneAlarm firewall.
From the ZoneAlarm pop up alerts, I noticed there were packets of information going out of my computer, to a IP number disguised as my servers IP. (not because I'm smart, but because the alerts told me so..LOL)

Getting more suspicious, I started looking around in the Event Viewer, under both the Security and System tabs.

It was then that I noticed a very high number of Failures listed, (55 of them in a 7 day period), with the properties of : "unknown user name or bad password attempts", and several Warnings of: "TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts."
I contacted my server with this info. (Even though my family members thought I had "lost it" when I mentioned this to them...LOL)
Apparently, alot of these attempts to gain access into my account were at the local level.

I was using a dial up ISP, until yesterday, when my ISP told me to contact the FBI.
I did, and they are now looking into the mess.
Not to scare anyone, but I hope others do the same, as this could be happening to them as well.

It gets worse..LOL

I have come acrossed alot of remotely accessed files in my registry, (but not being accessed by me.) :tazz:

Anyway, I hooked up with RR as of yesterday afternoon, for both the security (I hope), and in thinking it might be best if I stay out their way, so they could investigate.
Maybe if I leave that account open, there would be a better chance that the person/persons doing this, would continue and get caught.

So, here I sit with a mess on my hands, and not sure where to go from here.
Aren't you glad I picked on you?..LOL

I don't know if I should just do a clean install, try and fix what I have, or take it to a computer shop and have them do it?

The antivirus files on here are ones that I have been trying out.
Is there anyway to get the AVG and Norton's off here?
I can't seem to make that happen.

I am currently trying out avast!...since last night, and I like it. It has found about 6 or 7 viruses, where the others have passed them by. (I forget how many at this point. I think I am now brain dead.)
I would like to try out the free one that RR offers, eTrust too.

I'm going to quit thinking, and call it a night.

I guess my new log isn't a whole lot different than the first.

I'll check back in with you tomorrow, and read your thoughts.

Thank you for your time, and help.

Kim

Hi TxRose

The normal way to remove Programs you don't need or want is Windows Add Remove Program File and uninstall from there.

I you have removed links to the program then you will find that the uninstaller will not work, what you need to do if this has been the case reinstall the program.

Then use Add Remove Program Files, most legal programs come with thier own removal program.

Post back and let me know

Thanks
