software suggestions?

I have been using Pinnacle's Studio 9.4.3 to make slideshows. However, after 2 months of using it, i have been unable to get it to burn a DVD that will work in my DVD player. I have tried different settings, different DVDs. Nothing. I had burned 3 previous DVD's and they work great. I have reinstalled the software. The support I have received from Pinnacle stinks!

Anyway, I am looking for software that I can burn my pictures to DVD to play in my DVD player...not just my PC. I want to add music/audio, transitions, titles, ect to my projects. I'm fairly new with this type of software. i'm too frustrated with studio9 to use it any more. any suggestions would be great!
